David J. Smith is a microbiologist with the Advanced Life Support Labs at NASA Kennedy Space Center. Dr. Smith is involved with microbial monitoring projects supporting robotic & human spaceflight. He is particularly interested in the high altitude boundary of Earth’s biosphere, and the inter- and intra-planetary dispersal of microbes.
